Below is what some of the students who’ve trained with and benefited from Vision Café Uganda have to say of their experience:

Agonzebwa Mugisa Francis
Occupation: Ass. Manager, Ebenezer Royal Videos
Vision Cafe Uganda has helped me to develop my career in videography. Not because I have learned video recording from there but because of my boss, the manager whom I got to know from there and we kept on our relationship, then getting a job from him as the Assistant Manager, Ebenezer Royal Videos.
I have met many friends and I have learnt more computer skills from there!

Medi Kimbugwe Mohamed
Occupation Physical Planning Consultant, Barugah Planning Consultants
Vision Cafe has become part of my life; when I make my schedule for the day, I allocate time to be at the café. It’s my home before home, it keeps me connected, it increases my bliss and I have a blast!

Mwesigwa Alex
Occupation Operations Manager, A+ Fashions and Designs
Vision Cafe has largely provided a forum for me to bounce my ideas on its management. The other direct benefit is that it links me to the rest of the world through the low cost Internet. I never feel like going to any other café because they are damn expensive!

Ronald Lukanga
Occupation: Canah Agency House of Furniture
I trained in Vision Cafe Uganda and got employed in Canah Agency House of Furniture for my computer literacy. I have got friends from outside the world after using Vision café and now I am communicating to other people outside Uganda through Vision Café because it’s easily accessible and user friendly.

Kwezi Lawrence
Occupation: Deputy Head teacher, St. Francis Nansana Secondary.
Vision Cafe has opened my minds and the way-forward plans after opening for me new friends who have constructive ideologies both within Uganda and in the outside world through the Internet. I am so grateful for Vision Café.

Katushabe Maureen
Occupation: Staff, Vision Cafe Uganda
Vision Cafe has given me the hope of my life. I didn’t know computer at all. What happened isthat its management trusted me, trained me and employed me! Incredible stuff really. I’m very happy here and we hope for the best. If there were many other Vision Cafes in Uganda, then IT in Uganda would develop greatly.

Nakacwa Aisha
Occupation: Student
I really have nothing much to talk about Vision Café. Long live Vision Café. Long live the management. You did me wonders and I just look at a computer like a radio! Something I would never think about a few months ago. I’m proud at school and it’s like I’m the computer consultant there. Can you imagine! Actually this is just the beginning. More is yet to come”

Mukisa Beth
Occupation: Radio Presenter, 99.6 Kampala FM
Ha, I always have fun at the café. It has become my home. I learn a lot and interact with many more friends there. That’s where I get updated from to prepare for my show at Kampala FM.
Katumba Hannington
Occupation: Veterinary doctor
I used Vision Cafe to do my final year project at Makerere University right from the beginning to the end. I’ve just graduated. I was given good attention and care by the café management to work on and complete my project. Long live Vision Cafe Uganda and the café staff.

I have learnt how to surf the Internet and use it all the time hence keeping me updated with what is happening in the world. It has also helped me to create new friends. The biggest in my career however, is that I have a job with my current company just because of the little knowledge I had got from Vision Café. That is why you see me coming here almost every day. I learn a lot every day.
Namatovu Rehema
Occupation Uganda Wildlife Authority http://www.uwa.or.ug
I have friends at Vision Cafe Uganda who have taught me computer. I am proud of that. They have also taught me how to use computer and it was because of computer literacy that I was able to get a job at the Uganda Wildlife without a hectic interview…my computer knowledge did it all.
