Teaching a man to fish, farm or to use computers, is better than simply giving a man those things… and in our modern day reality, being computer literate is essential in order to qualify for better paying jobs. This is why Vision Café Uganda endeavors to make computer knowledge, training and services available to a wide group of African peoples.
We have accomplished much during our initial period of operation, as we have already trained over 50 Ugandans (some of whose names and photos appear in the Testimonies page at http://visioncafeuganda.page.tl/Testimonials.htm and will train & business-assist many, many more.

Vision Cafe Uganda seeks donations that will help it both in the Short term and Long term.
They will help to support the primary 'Vision Café Uganda' with an emergency fund targeted at $32,000.
Planned use of these contributions:
-a funding for Ugandans who want to learn computers but do not have the money to pay for their education;
-a 'Computer Fund' to help purchase low cost, refurbished computers for Ugandans and Africans in general who cannot afford them.
The main goal here is: Initially give away 5 computers a year to very bright students who cannot afford to buy their own computers;
-a 'Software Fund' - So that Vision Café Uganda (VCU) can purchase more expensive programs that increase the skills level of advanced students to more readily match those of people in the top level (G8) developed countries;
-A 'MacIntosh' computer fund - So that VCU students can develop their graphics skills as well by learning the 'Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign)' software programs.
Goal: To become valuable members/workers accessing the worldwide graphic design & book design marketplace.
